We only stock one breed of turkey - the Bronze turkey - at AJR Poultry, as it has the best flavour in our opinion!
Birds are usually available to sell 'live' from September onwards or we are more than happy to take orders for oven-ready turkeys which will be ready for Christmas. Prices vary according to the size of the bird.

Bronze turkey
The Bronze is a breed of domestic turkey. Its name refers to its distinctive plumage, which has an iridescent bronze-coloured sheen. The Bronze turkey is the product of crossing domestic turkeys brought from Europe by colonists with the North American Wild Turkey. The result produced a bird that was larger and more robust than the European turkeys, and tamer than wild turkeys. Though the Bronze turkey breed was originally created in the 18th century, the name only became used in the 1830s.
